Chilly Gonzales is not a household name in the USA, yet he is a very accomplished and successful musician. In America, his two most famous pieces of work are connected to Apple commercials, where his identity is entirely concealed. It puts him in a interesting place where he essentially has the freedom to do as he wishes, while still making a living as a musician. Thus bringing him to the tiny SOMA bar, Hotel Utah Saloon, doing a one man show on a Saturday night.

New Release Round Up 1/12/10 – 42 Instant Album Reviews

Here are 42 reviews that cover three weeks. Lots of stuff has happened in the past three days. Most notably, a couple of musician deaths and the whole mass crisis thing in Haiti. There’s nothing like a sexy party to work off Thanksgiving Dinner, and anyone that was smart enough to not go shopping was at the biggest sexy party in town. We had Wallpaper, Oakland’s synth funk wunderkinds, we had Amanda Blank, Philly’s naughty synth-hop diva, and the queen of raunch, Peaches, to show the kids how it’s done. (Hopefully with a condom.)
