Pharrell Williams is a musical genius. He’s written more songs in his lifetime than you’ve heard, and every single one of them is huge. The Clipse write songs about selling crack, and they’re playing on the same block as the best place in town to purchase crack. This show is great marketing.

I don’t know if there is any more that can be said about Sonic Youth that hasn’t already been said, but, goddamn their good. They might be that has remained consistently active for as long as they have… (28 years for those keeping score) And yes, some of those records may not have been as good as others, but none of them have been bad.

10 years ago, this would have been the biggest show of the summer. 2nd wave and 3rd wave ska together on one super bill! Alas, this show is happening now, and it will be great. No poseurs, just people ready to skank.
