Bleached, No Parents at Bottom Of The Hill, San Francisco
Growing up can prove to be a real challenge for a punk. It’s difficult to sort out the angst of childhood with grown-up responsibility and life changes. With “Welcome The Worms,” Bleached have managed to mature into a truly adult record, still filled with all the hooks and rage of their debut (as well as the inventiveness that they’ve been toying with since Mika Miko). In case you don’t want to grow up too fast, opening is No Parents, a band that is quite proud of their adolescent rage. – Dakin
This video is creepy as fuck. Don’t watch it at work:

Fear Factory, Soilwork, Omnikage, Spades And Blades at Slim’s, San Francisco
Fear Factory began in 1989. Cheerfully, Burton and Dino still know how to make a thomping melodic metal song.

Daniel Martin Moore, Spurs, Super XX Man at the Hemlock Tavern, San Francisco
Candlelit music.

Boris, Auma at New Parish, Oakland
Boris are unafraid to be heavy, loud, poppy, or strange. A genre-obliterating group worthy of their Wikipedia page.

Napalm Death, Melvins, Melt Banana at Slim’s, San Francisco
A gorgeous tableau of noise at Slim’s with the comfort-food grind of Napalm Death, the glorious shriek of the Melvins, and the unyielding noise of Melt Banana. Bring earplugs.

Chromeo, Kinky, IamSu!, De Lux, DJ Miguel Migs at Oysterfest, Sharon Meadow, Golden Gate Park, S.F.
Chromeo make music to make you feel like you think the 1980s felt like. Also, oysters!

Infected Mushroom at the Midway, 900 Marin Street, San Francisco
Sounds like a cyberpunk novel feels on the eyes.
