Many moons ago, a little English band called Bush went on tour and brought a small ska band from LA on tour with them. It time, that little ska band became huge, the singers of both bands got married, and then Mr Gavin Rossdale kind of became a house husband while Gwen Stefani went on to rule the world. Well, the kids are a bit older now, and Bush are back on the road, playing their catchy post grunge and sounding better than ever.

Rainbow Girls, The Hot Toddies, The She’s, Kendra McKinley at The Fillmore
Sadly, tonight will not consist of teenage girls reciting cryptic poetry in hoop skirts. Instead, we’ve got an amazing folk group, two of the Bay Area’s best pop punk bands, and a fine vocalist from the jazz tradition. It’s going to be a night of sonic joy, and at $19 a ticket, it’s one of the better deals in town.

Super Bowl XLIV: Men In Tights at The Roxie
I’ve never seen the Super Bowl. If I were to watch it for the first time, however, this is how I’d do it. For only $10, you get to watch the game with a team of comics: David Gborie, David Cairns, Aparna Nancherla, Keith Lowell Jensen, Andrew Holmgren, George Chen and more will be interrupting the game LIVE! There will be sports for people who like sports, and interrupting of sports for those who like annoying people that are into sports. There’s something for everybody!
