SF Sketchfest 2023: Line Up Additions!

Oh, man! Remember how excited we were about Sketchfest 2021? And then Sketchfest 2022? And remember how upset we all were when BOTH of them were sidelined due to that plague that still ravages our world? And then Jean Grae and I tried to develop a machine that would suck all the virus out of the air? Well, the good news is (provided BQ 1.1 doesn’t screw everything up), everything is a go for Sketchfest 2023, and they decided to add a few more shows to the lineup that go on sale Wednesday, 11/15 at 10 am PST:

Some highlights include A Conversation with the cast of A Mighty Wind, which of course, includes Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy of everyone’s pandemic comfort food Schitt’s Creek. This one is happening at The Castro on January 28th. And we are a few steps closer to a return of The State at Sketchfest (PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!) with a table read of an unproduced screenplay written by David Wain and Ken Marino called City Of Dreams at Cobb’s on January 21st and the two will be playing music with fellow state alums Thomas Lennon and Kerry Kenney-Silver as part of “Middle Aged Dad Jam Session” at Swedish American Hall on January 20th. And Moshe Kasher will be hosting his final (?) Hound Tall at Swedish American Hall on January 28th

In lieu of any clip of any of these projects, here’s Kerry Kenney-Silver’s AMAZING band Cake Like, who I would sell my grandma to get to see play someday:
