Outside Lands Set Times Announced!

It’s the time of year again!! When you get to stress over the Outside Lands, schedule for a week and a half, attempting to both optimize your experience and agonize over clashes. Not only that but there are now TWO dance music areas instead of one… So get ready to figure out the fastest way between the SOMA Tent and Dolores’ stage. Feel free to plot your own schedule here. And, obviously, if you are foolish and haven’t picked up tickets yet, you can still get Sunday GA and Golden Gate Club tickets here

Now, on with the schedule:

First of all, I LOVE a good opening set on Land’s End. Before the crowd gets there and you can take in the enormity of it all before things get chaotic. And that La Dona set will be exceptional at that hour. Friday feels mostly peaceful (for me, at least), with very few conflicts… I’m likely to stick around the Sutro stage for Nation Of Language -> Ethel Cain -> Crumb -> Alex G, then hightail it over for the 40-minute cryfest that will be Samia. (SO EXCITED TO FINALLY SEE SAMIA!) And then get annoyed by the three-way conflict between WILLOW, aespa, and Janelle Monae, knowing that Janelle Monae is gonna win that one. But, seriously- that one boils my blood a little. Then, apologies to Interpol and Zedd, but the night ends with Kendrick, as it would for anyone in their right mind.

My plan for this day? No Vacation -> a 50/50 split on Wednesday and Donny Benet, the TOPS -> another 50/50 split of Jessie Murph and Mariah The Scientist, NIKI, followed by… well, I really want to finally see Maggie Rogers, but there’s a To Be Announced warming up the stage for Lana Del Rey. I’m guessing this was the spot vacated by Orville Peck. Let’s speculate wildly as to who it might be. Maybe Lana will bring her friend Courtney Love over to do a set since she’s also on good terms with Dave Grohl? I mean, I highly doubt it, but my mind will be blown if that happens. OIr I’ll just enjoy the living legend Trixie Mattel. This also reminds me- I have no idea how I’m tackling the end of that night. I’ve never seen either of them, but I’ll probably stay at Foo Fighters until Monkey Wrench and then try to enjoy the end of Lana.

Sunday Morning is INSANE! UPSAHL -> Fake Fruit -> Venus & The Flytraps -> Nanna, all without stopping? SHEESH! Gotta keep up the cardio until then. Next up, I’m going to enjoy Grace Ives and then flip a coin for beabadoobee and Lil Yachty, but I will probably settle on Lil Yachty because I need to know how that psych album is gonna play out live. Then Megan Thee Stallion because that’s the thing I’m most excited about. And close my night up with Soccer Mommy. Why? Because I have a day job and would love to go to bed at a decent hour.
