SF MusicTech SummitWe’re less than six weeks away from the Bay Area’s premiere music and tech conference, SF MusicTech Summit. Returning to San Francisco for the seventeenth (!) time, this must-attend gathering attracts top experts, developers, entrepreneurs, investors, and musicians from all around the globe. One year ago, organizers Brian and Shoshana Zisk declared that they would be retiring the event. However, due to popular demand, they’ve brought it back.

The day-long conference, taking place at Hotel Kabuki on Tuesday, November 10, has already confirmed a roster of top-notch speakers including Ticketfly’s Donnie Dinch, super investor Larry Marcus (Pandora and SoundHound), and Amazon’s head of Business Development, Cindy Charles – who is, once again, co-hosting the “Women in Music Tech Meetup.” View the full line-up of speakers here.

women in music tech meetup
The “Women in Music Tech Meetup” fosters an open, inclusive environment for women in the music industry.

There are many valid reasons to attend SF MusicTech Summit. It’s a forum for networking, connecting, plus discussing and debating progressive ideas. It’s especially beneficial for entrepreneurs. The Startup Innovators Challenge is open to registered attendees and places promising companies in front of experienced venture capitalists. Past entrants that received funding include Boombotix, Playground.fm (acquired by Jawbone), and Timbre (acquired by Seatwave). You’d be hard-pressed to find a better opportunity to showcase your ideas until next year’s SXSW conference in Austin.

Tickets are still available, currently for $340. The price will continue to rise as the summit approaches. However, using the code SPINNINGPLATTERS10 will give registrants a 10% discount.

SF MusicTech Summit is the biggest, most influential conference of its kind around. Therefore, many professionals, communities, and companies schedule events the same week which has come to be known as SF MusicTech Week.

MusicExpo SF
SF MusicTech Week is a thing, and inspires a lot of quality events around music + tech.

So far, the best event on the horizon is the second annual MusicExpo San Francisco, taking place on November 14 at Ex’pression College in Emeryville. This one is for producers and musicians, especially. Registration is currently free, for a limited time. Huge thanks to Stefan Aronson for the tip.

We hope to see you there! If music and/or technology is your passion, you’ll be in great company at SF MusicTech Summit.
