Pattinson leads stellar cast in gritty drama

“To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen (Robert Pattinson) prepares to make his move.

Actor Robert Pattinson is having quite the year. After starring alongside Zendaya in the terrific The Drama, he turned in the only performance worth watching in The Odyssey. Now he takes the lead in Primetime, an entertaining, if sometimes hard-to-watch, very loose retelling of the heyday of the Dateline reality show To Catch a Predator and its host, Chris Hansen. Film Review: “The Drama”

Zendaya and Pattinson create worthy Drama

Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Robert Pattinson) have an eye-opening conversation with friends.

This review will be shorter than usual, because writing about The Drama without giving any spoilers is nearly impossible. There is so much to say about this provocative and highly original film, but the less you know going into it, the more you’ll be able to enjoy its surprises. Suffice to say that I’ve already short-listed the movie for my 2026 Top 10. If you love unexpected, immensely creative, and thought-provoking films, you owe it to yourself to see The Drama.

Film Review: Damsel

In the new Zellner brothers film Damsel, misguided characters stumble through lush settings, and try to sell us on the idea that there is something worthwhile in dressing a western with modern ideas about obsession, feminism, and family. The brothers deserve credit for the attempt, but they fail to find a focus on a clear message or point of view.
