Tears For Fears, Carina Round at Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium
One of my earliest memories is of the film Real Genius. I won’t give away the ending if you haven’t seen it, but the closing scene features the song “Everybody Rules The World” by Tears For Fears. It might be one of the finest songs ever written. Opening the show is Carina Round, part time Puscifer collaborator and a fantastic musician in her own right.

Scott Aukerman has been floating around behind the scenes as a comedy writer for quite some time now, starting out as a staff writer for Mr Show. In the last few years, however, he’s been doing a podcast called Comedy Bang! Bang!, which, in my opinion is one of the funniest and most creative podcasts on the internet. He’s taking the show on the road, if it’s half as good as the podcast or the TV show, it will be the most entertaining show in town.

At one point in time, I called Ozomatli the greatest live band on Earth. I’ve seen a lot of bands in my day, and, well, they are, still, the greatest live band on Earth. Their delicious fusion of hip hop, latin rock, funk, ska, meringue, and, well everything else, always evolves into the best party you will ever go to.

Redd Kross, The Mantles, Warm Soda at Great American Music Hall
Another band from the “I never thought that I’d get the chance to see these guys” file. Redd Kross were the band to bridge the gap between the alternative rock era and the Warped Tour/pop punk era. This is going to be one of the first reunion gigs, so I really don’t what these shows are going to be like, but with songs like this, there’s little chance for this to go wrong.
