Our beloved bridge.
Our beloved bridge.
Halloween is just around the corner and it’s that time of the year here in the Bay Area for the Bridge School Benefit weekend.

So also coming up this week, we have nameless ghouls, various demons, and interplanetary felons. Let’s preview!

• Friday, October 23

Ghost, Purson at The Warfield, San Francisco

These scary metal guys are along the lines of The Residents in terms of anonymity.

• Saturday, October 24

Bridge School Benefit Concert 2015: Neil Young + Promise Of The Real, Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Ryan Adams, St. Vincent, Gary Clark Jr., Spoon, Nils Lofgren at Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View (Saturday and Sunday)

Bridge School Benefit Concerts are now kind of like Burning Man in that if you have the time, money, and energy to consider expending the amount neccessary to go to this thing then you’re doin’ just fine in life.

• Sunday, October 25

Gwar, Battlecross at The Regency Ballroom, San Francisco

GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! GWAR! You may get wet.

• Monday, October 26

Kristin Hersh, Zachary Blizzard at the Bottom of the Hill, San Francisco

From Hersh‘s Twitter today: “autocorrect just changed ‘Dinner Party’ to ‘Donner Party’…sorta doubt anyone’s gonna show up now.” Prove her wrong this Monday at Bottom Of The Hill.

• Tuesday, October 27

Mondo Generator, Peter Pan Speedrock at the Ritz, San Jose

Former Queens Of The Stone Age offshoot group rocks its way through overcharged rocknroll.

• Wednesday, October 28
