The Shirelles featuring Beverly Lee at The Rrazz Room, 8 PM
Beverly Lee was one of the original members of The Shirelles, formed in 1958, and is often considered to be the first all-female vocal group of the rock n roll era. They brought the legendary songwriting team of Burt Bacharach and Hal David to prominence & were often covered by The Beatles in their early days. It’s very rare and very exciting to see any of the originators of modern pop music, and this is a show not to be missed. (Appearing nightly until June 21st)

Tippy Canoe is the former drummer of East Bay power pop veterans The Kirby Grips, but has spent much time as of late working on her solo persona. She often performs solo ukulele, but has at some shows has her sound augmented by a drummer & upright bass player. Her sound is a bit of a New Orleans Hot Jazz and a bit of Wanda Jackson-inspired rockabilly.
