If you are like me, you’ve been refreshing your inbox 2,235 times a day, waiting for ANY Outside Lands 2022 news. We’ve known the dates (August 5th-7th), we’ve purchased our Eager Beaver tickets. And now we have a lineup, and hopefully, I’m telling you first. Or maybe you’ve already read it, but, still!
First, the big 3! R&B groundbreaker SZA is taking a victory lap in Golden Gate Park after her big Grammy win. Genre polymath Post Malone, who I never cared much for until this early pandemic bit of hope that’s way better than it should’ve been. And, after 14 years, one of the most important Bay Area bands in history is finally, FINALLY playing Outside Lands: GREEN DAY!
Other highlights include my actual favorite band right now, Wet Leg, Putin’s favorite band, Pussy Riot, Spinning Platters favorites Phoebe Bridgers, Mitski, Best Coast, and Faye Webster, my #1 guilty pleasure 100 gecs, power-pop legends Weezer, my favorite OSL find of 2019, The Marias, and many, many more!
