Outside Lands is changing it up a bit this year. The biggest news? THE LINE UP IS COMING TUESDAY, MARCH 3RD. Which is GREAT for someone like me who is very impatient and likes planning early.Second? No Eager Beaver. Nobody will be able to buy tickets until after the lineup drops. Instead, there will be a Loyalty Sale starting March 3rd at noon (presale signup here by Tuesday, March 3 at 11:00am PT to receive their Loyalty Presale code). Then, a Ranger Presale starts at noon on March 4th (Signup for the Ranger Presale remains open here, through Tuesday, March 3 at 4:00 pm PT).
Additionally, Outside Lands is pleased to offer a Chase Presale exclusively to Chase cardholders beginning Tuesday, March 3 at 12 pm PT and running through Thursday, March 5 at 11:45 am PT via sfoutsidelands.com. Signup is not required.
The General On Sale begins Thursday, March 5, at 12 pm PT, with tickets available to the public while supplies last via sfoutsidelands.com.
This is a lot. I know. But it’s exciting. And, always, three days in Golden Gate Park is amazing. So get your layers packed, your sunscreen and dancing shoes ready for August 7-9 for another amazing Outside Lands.

Outside Lands is THIS WEEKEND!!! This is always one of my favorite weekends, and it’s generally a great weekend for discovering your new favorites. And now it’s time for the 2025 edition of my “Top 10 from the Bottom Half” list, which I’ve spent actual months researching and listening, and these are my 10 favorites. And, in case you are keeping score, in 2022 Wet Leg and Faye Webster made my list. In 2019, I introduced you to The Marias. 2018 had Lizzo. 2017 had Khruangbin. 2016? Anderson .Paak. That’s not a bad track record… There is a LOT of good stuff happening this weekend, and the full schedule is out here. Limited tickets are available here, but don’t delay! We are less than two months away from Outside Lands 2025! And fellow San Franciscans are currently enjoying classic Outside Lands weather (overcast and cool- sorry, THE REST OF THE USA. But, also, why not escape the heat and join us in the park in August?) One of the last big announcements for the big event dropped today- THE NIGHT SHOWS! Although enjoying music in the park is great, you also have an opportunity to see folks like Thundercat, Still Woozy, Midnight Generation, FCUKERS, Hope Tala, Luna Li, and more in intimate venues, starting late enough for you to get to after a great day in the park.
Eager Beaver and Golden Gate Club ticket holders will once again have the first opportunity to purchase tickets, with presales running from Wednesday, June 25, at 10:00 a.m. PT to Thursday, June 26, at 11:59 p.m. PT. The festival ticket presale for ticket holders is Thursday, June 26, from 10 am PT to 11:59 p.m. PT. Any remaining tickets for Night Shows that are still available will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 27, at 10 am PT. Eager Beaver, Golden Gate Club, and festival ticket holders will receive an email with their respective presale codes. Details and ticket links here!

Outside Lands has graced us with their single-day lineups today, for those who can’t do the whole thing and need to pick and choose their days! And, on top of that, they added Beck performing with a symphony to Friday night! We also learned what the whole deal with Vampire Weekend appearing twice means—Vampire Weekend will open and close on Saturday. Single-day tickets are on sale NOW to Chase cardholders here. For those who use *other* banks (you know who you are), you’re gonna have to wait until tomorrow at 10 am to grab your single-day tickets here. Or you can also still grab some 3-day passes, because, trust me, one day isn’t enough.

I walked out the door this morning to experience the sun on my face for the first time in what feels like years. This last winter was one of the coldest, dreariest ones in memory. I enjoyed a gentle breeze while serotonin made its first real return to my brain in a while. Then I opened up my phone (a thing that has brought the opposite of joy lately) to see Outside Lands drop its lineup, and now I’ve moved from joyful to glowing!
Highlights include a triple shot of the best live acts in modern hip hop: Tyler, The Creator, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, and Doechii, the unclassifiable Doja Cat, the insane bass stylings of Thundercat, the inventive and brilliant Jorja Smith, and for those looking for a touch of proper nostalgia, there’s Ludacris! Lower on the bill and there are some insane Easter Eggs like Big Freedia & The SF Gay Men’s Chorus, whatever “Vampire Weekend 
/
” means, the reinvented Rebecca Black, and for those who need a little mosh in their weekend, Oakland’s Destroy Boys are playing as well as the amazing Mannequin Pussy.

Once the big festivals start announcing their line ups, I get excited about Outside Lands finally dropping their lineup. Always a little bit more interesting than the rest in the US, and I’ve never had a bad time in the 17 years I’ve been heading to the Golden Gate Park for this shindig. We still have to wait a little longer to learn about the music. The Eager Beaver tickets are always the cheapest way to get in and are on sale tomorrow. Out-the-door (fees included!) prices are Eager Beaver 3-Day GA tickets are $485.05 all in ($425 + $65.05 fees), 3-Day GA+ tickets are $734.55 all in ($665 + $69.55 fees) and 3-Day VIP tickets are $1,045.55 all in ($965 + $80.55 fees) and, for those with deep pockets and enjoy some fancy times, $5,095.55 all in ($4,895 + $200.55 fees) for Golden Gate Club tickets. For that price, you get front-of-stage viewing, access to the golf cart fleet for speedy transit around the site, and food & drinks provided by celebrity chefs Melissa King, Tyler Florence of Miller & Lux, and Dana Younkin & Nancy Oakes of Boulevard!

I really love Outside Lands. It’s funny because my heart genuinely lies in the world of Punk, and something this big *shouldn’t* be my thing, but I love being able to disconnect from the outside world and just take in music with strangers and friends, and the best part- strangers that became friends that I only see at this event. And, yes, a fellow writer recently referred to Outside Lands attendees as “norms” (I saw what you did there, Alan!), but, man, I had such a wonderful, blissful time, dancing with strangers, eating amazing food, enjoying nearly perfect weather, and taking in some amazing music.
