Swedish band Ghost has returned to the US and is currently on a 7 week tour as the sole support act for the mighty Iron Maiden!  In addition to those 26 shows, Ghost booked 14 headliner theater shows, including The Warfield in San Francisco.

While most of the country did not get the opportunity to have a headline show and an Iron Maiden show in nearly the same city (yes, San Francisco and Oakland are that close), the Bay Area was lucky to have both.

Ghost’s headliner was a 90 minute set, complete with confetti, fire, and pyro blasts (when was the last time you saw that in a theater?!).  The set nearly equally spanned all of their records, including 3 songs from Opus Eponymous, 5 from Infestissumam, 5 from Meliora, and Square Hammer from the Popestar EP.

Three nights later, at Oracle Arena in Oakland, sans confetti, fire, and pyro, they had a 40 minute support set.  They focused mainly on their latest material, with 1 song from Opus Eponymous, 2 from Infestissumam, 4 from Meliora, and Square Hammer from the Popestar EP.
