From Joel Edelman:
These artists will inspire my IndieRockGrrls 2014 Spotify playlist, although now that you can “Start Radio” from any playlist, I have to think it’s a good thing I have a day job.
The 2013 year in music was as lackluster as the 1981 year in baseball cards. The top rookie card from that year? Fernando Valenzuela. A lot of good second-year cards, such as Rickey Henderson. Similarly, a lot of my favorites this year are records by established artists (David Bowie, Neko Case).
Anamanaguchi “Endless Fantasy”
Soft Cotton County “The Man Who Walked on the Moon”
Lederhosen Lucil “Guten Tag Gemini”
Bleached “Ride Your Heart”
